Spider-Man and Super Man

Phillip got a Spider-Man costume for his birthday. It's just been sitting around and he hasn't really mentioned it...until today. He woke up from his nap asking if he could put on his Spider-Man costume, so he put it on.

Soon after, Andrew woke up from his nap. When I came walking out of his room holding him, Phillip was standing there in his costume. Andrew's face was priceless! He was really scared, he let out this little wimper and couldn't stop staring. I said that it was just Phillip in a costume. He said, "Oh.", but I don't think he really believed me. Then Phillip said, "It's just me, Phillip." and Andrew was still staring. Then, Phillip lifted the face mask and showed him and he got this big smile and said, "Oh." again.

Then, when I laid Andrew down to change his diaper, he kept saying that he was Spider-Man and I said, "No, Phillip is Spider-Man." So, I asked Phillip if he wanted to be Spider-Man for Halloween and he said that he did. So, I said to Andrew, "Well, Phillip is going to be Spider-Man, so how about you being Super Man?" He said, without hesitation, "Yeah! I'm Super Man!" He then went running out of his room like he was some sort of super hero. I think he thought that meant there would be a costume for him too! Considering the child doesn't even know who Super Man is, he was pretty darn excited! I wonder if these choices will hold up for Halloween or not?!?

Easter Clothes

We hope you and your family had a blessed Easter!

So, obviously it's Easter Sunday. We had a beautiful day going to church and spending time with family. The best story of the day happened this morning...

The kids were sitting around the table eating their breakfast this morning. Chris was getting dressed and came out to 'relieve me' when he was done. In honor of Easter, he was wearing a long-sleeve button down shirt and a tie. He normally wears short-sleeve polo shirts or short-sleeve button downs to work and church, so the kids rarely see him in a tie. When Phillip saw him he said,
"Daddy, you look fancy!"
We all got a big laugh out of this one. See ya later alligator...

Easter Egg Hunt

My friend Amanda and her family hold an Easter egg hunt every year. Last year we were out of town, so this would be the first egg hunt that the kids had participated in. They both did great. See the pictures below.

Phillip spies some yellow eggs...

He loves to mug and smile for the camera now, especially with his new Easter basket.

Andrew spies a purple egg...

Andrew is very intent on finding more.
Just check out all those eggs!!
All Andrew wanted to do was crack them open and eat the candy out (wrapper and all)!
A nice family photo after lunch, thanks Aunt Terah for taking it for us (and look, both boys are smiling and looking at the camera, it's a true miracle!)Hope you and your family have a fun and happy Easter!!
See ya later alligator...
